Cyborg Insects: Bug or a Feature?

Cyborg insects are a major part of the vision future interactions living world and technology, including but not limited to Internet Living Things (IoLT). They crawling or flying with additional electronic circuitry allowing remote control their movement collection sensory data. In this critical review, we survey historical development cyborg engineering, from first backpacks on used for communication sensing, different methods actuation insects’ locomotion. We review suggested applications ranging military use agriculture, pointing out problematic connotations swarms cyborgs in these contexts. address narratives around engineered perspective philosophy, economy, law, politics. add perspectives emancipatory potential technology where it could lie.
